SBI CBO Notification 2023 – Selection Process

Online Test
-Selection for SBI CBO will be based on performance in the written test, screening test, and interview.
A merit list will be created circle-wise and category-wise, considering the aggregate marks obtained in the online test.
There will be no sectional qualifying marks.
Candidates up to three times the number of vacancies in each circle and category will be shortlisted for the screening process.
To be eligible for the screening process, candidates must score the minimum aggregate qualifying score determined by the Bank.

Screening
Candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in the online test will have their online applications and documents reviewed by the Screening Committee.
The Screening Committee, appointed by the Bank, will assess whether the candidates meet the required eligibility criteria in terms of experience.
The Committee will compare the job profile submitted by the candidates (certified by their current or previous employers) with the job profile of a Scale-I Generalist Officer at the State Bank of India.
If the job profile does not substantially match or differs from that of a Scale-I Generalist Officer, the candidate’s application will be rejected.

Note:
The bank’s decision in this matter is final and binding, and no further correspondence or representation will be entertained. Candidates who meet the experience requirements determined by the Screening Committee will proceed to the interview stage.

Interview

The interview stage carries a total of 50 marks. To be considered for final selection, candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks set by the bank.

Final Selection

To secure a position as an SBI Circle Based Officer, candidates must excel both in the online test and the interview. The marks obtained in the Objective Test and Descriptive Test of the online examination will be added to the interview scores to create the final merit list.

The final merit list is determined by normalizing the marks scored in the online test and interview. The weightage is given as 75:25, where 75% of the marks come from the online test and 25% from the interview.
The marks obtained by candidates in the online test, out of a maximum of 170, will be converted to a scale of 75 marks. Similarly, the interview scores, out of 50, will be converted to a scale of 25 marks.
The top-ranked candidates in the merit list, prepared circle-wise and category-wise, will be selected for the position.

Note- There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question too.
